Extraction Series holsters. The Extraction holster is a passive retention OWB/IWB holster. The Extraction holster includes a paddle for OWB carry and a belt clip for IWB carry. The screw holes located at the top of the holster allow for the paddle to be attached to the holster when OWB carry option is preferred. The three vertically lined holes offer three separate cant configurations. The two included screws and posts must be used when attaching the paddle to the holster. The two included rubber washers are not needed when attaching the paddle to the holster. The four vertical screw holes located in the center of the holster allow for the belt clip to be attached to the holster when IWB carry option is preferred. The four vertically lined holes on the holster and the two holes on the belt clip offer three separate ride height adjustments. The horizontal slot on the belt clip allows for cant adjustment based upon the user’s preference. The two rubber washers, screws and posts included must be used when attaching the belt clip to the holster for IWB carry. The two rubber washers must be placed between the belt clip and the holster. To wear the Extraction holster OWB, place the paddle inside your pants and firmly push the paddle down until the paddle is completely inside your waistband. To wear the Extraction holster IWB, place the entire holster inside your waistband while leaving the belt clip outside your waistband. Make sure that the belt clip completely covers your belt and securely hooks underneath. The Extraction holster is a passive retention holster. When un-holstering, do so in a deliberate and rapid upward motion. Silicone spray may be used in the trigger guard area of the holster as a means of lowering the level of retention. Passive retention is automatically engaged upon reholstering. Always tighten your belt with either carry option and always check the adjustment screw each time you use your holster to confirm proper retention.
Standard Series holsters. The Standard Series is a passive retention holster. When unholstering, do so in a deliberate and rapid upward motion. Silicone spray may be used in the trigger guard area of the holster as a means of lowering the level of retention. Passive retention is automatically engaged upon re-holstering.
Evolution Series (ND) holsters. The Evolution Series is a passive retention holster that includes a retention adjustment screw. The tension screw is not pre-set and allows for retention pressure to be adjusted based upon personal preference. When un-holstering, do so in a deliberate and rapid upward motion. Passive retention is automatically engaged upon reholstering.
APPENDIX Series holsters. The APPENDIX holster is a passive retention holster that includes a retention adjustment screw. When unholstering, do so in a deliberate and rapid upward motion. Passive retention is automatically engaged upon re-holstering. The APPENDIX holster is set by the factory for right hand use and includes three detachable pieces: Belt Clip, Concealment Wing and Sweat Guard. To wear the APPENDIX holster, place the entire holster inside your waistband, including the optional concealment wing and sweat guard, if attached, while leaving the belt clip outside your waistband. Make sure that the belt clip completely covers your belt and securely hooks underneath. The APPENDIX holster was designed for appendix carry but may be carried elsewhere inside your waistband based upon personal preference.
The APPENDIX holster may be worn without the detachable sweat guard and/or concealment wing. The belt clip is ambidextrous and secures the holster to your belt. The belt clip offers 5 cant (angle) positions. To adjust the cant of the belt clip, simply rotate the belt clip in either direction. It is not necessary to loosen the Philips screw. To remove the belt clip for left hand use, firmly pull back on the retaining tab of the belt clip located over the sight channel of the holster and slide the belt clip to the left to remove. Next, if purchased, remove the sweat guard as indicated below. Next, remove the concealment wing as indicated below. To replace the belt clip on the opposite side of the APPENDIX holster, position the belt clip into the belt clip grooves on the opposite side of the APPENDIX holster and snap firmly in place. An audible click should be heard when reattaching the belt clip. Re-attachment of the sweat guard is optional. The detachable sweat guard serves as a protective and comfortable barrier between your body and the firearm. To remove the sweat guard for non-use or left hand use, locate the retaining tab inside the APPENDIX holster and apply pressure when detaching the sweat guard to make it easier for removal. To reverse the sweat guard for left hand use, first remove the concealment wing as indicated below. Next, remove the retaining clip in the center of the sweat guard. Turn the sweat guard over and re-insert the retaining clip in the opposite direction. Arrows indicated on both the sweat guard and retaining clip should face the same direction and always toward the slide of your firearm. Firmly snap the sweat guard into place on the opposite side of the APPENDIX holster. An audible click should be heard when re-attaching the sweat guard. Re-attachment of the sweat guard is optional. The concealment wing draws the firearm closer to your body which reduces printing for optimal concealment. It is for right hand users only. The concealment wing is not ambidextrous and is NOT available for left hand use. To remove the concealment wing, if purchased, simply loosen the Philips tension screw and remove. The Philips tension screw, which secures the concealment wing to the APPENDIX holster, is not pre-set and allows for retention pressure to be adjusted based upon personal preference. Make sure that the tension screw is replaced after removing the concealment wing and that the retention pressure is re-adjusted accordingly.
Tactical Series holsters. The Tactical Series is an active retention holster. To un-holster your firearm, unfasten the safety strap and rock the firearm back approximately one half on an inch followed by a deliberate upward motion. When re-holstering your firearm, insert the barrel first into the muzzle stud, snap the firearm into the holster and refasten the safety strap.
RBT Tactical Series holsters. The RBT Tactical Series is an active retention holster. To unholster your firearm, unfasten the safety strap and remove the firearm in a deliberate and rapid upward motion. When re-holstering your firearm, insert the barrel first into the muzzle stud, snap the firearm into the holster and refasten the safety strap. DO NOT USE the RBT Tactical Series holster without a tactical accessory attached to the firearm as it is designed to work only with the rail accessory attached.
Universal IWB Series holsters. The Universal Inside the Waistband Series Holsters are designed to accommodate multiple same-sized pistols. The IWBL is for large frame pistols, the IWBM is for medium frame pistols and the IWBS is for small frame pistols. Place the holster inside your pants all the way down until the two belt clips completely encircle your belt. The location of the holster around your waist is based upon personal preference. Retention is achieved by pressure from the user’s belt applied to the holster shell when worn on the body. The unique flexible backing conforms to the user’s body allowing for additional retention. The non-slip surface of the holster backing keeps the holster firmly in place. The Universal IWB Series holsters are designed for many pistols and DO NOT have a standard passive retention mechanism. Refrain from inverting the Universal IWB Series holster when not being worn. RETENTION IS ONLY ATTAINED WHEN THE HOLSTER IS PROPERLY WORN ON THE BODY.
C Series holster. The Fobus C Series is an IWB (inside the waistband) holster that is as comfortable as it is rugged, made of lightweight, reinforced injection molded polymer. Passive retention is automatic upon holstering. Includes minimal, integrated sweat guard which serves as an effective barrier between your body and your firearm. The low profile J clip is fully tuckable for deep concealment. Place the holster inside your pants. The location of the holster inside your waistband is based upon personal preference. The J clip is worn over your waistband but behind your belt so that the bottom of your belt rests in the clip itself and prevents holster movement when drawing your firearm.
APN Series holsters. To wear the APN holster IWB, place the entire holster inside your waistband while leaving the belt clip outside your waistband. Make sure that the belt clip completely covers your belt and securely hooks underneath. To wear the APN holster OWB, place the paddle inside your pants and firmly push the paddle down until the paddle is completely inside your waistband. Alternatively, the APN holster can be worn OWB by inserting your belt through the paddle slots and placing the paddle in front of your waistband, outside your pants. Always tighten your belt with either carry option and always check the adjustment screw each time you use your holster to confirm proper retention.
The IWB belt clip offers 5 cant (angle) positions. To adjust the cant, simply rotate the belt clip in either direction. It is not necessary to loosen the Philips screw. To remove the paddle or belt clip, firmly pull back on the retaining tab of the respective clip located over the sight channel of the holster. To replace the attachment clip on the opposite side of the APN holster, position the attachment clip into the belt clip grooves on the opposite side of the APN holster and snap firmly in place. An audible click should be heard when re-attaching the belt clip.
THE SWEAT GUARD The optional, detachable sweat guard serves as a protective and comfortable barrier between your body and the firearm. To attach the sweat guard, locate the retaining tabs on the holster side opposite of the paddle or belt clip. Arrows indicated on both the sweat guard and retaining clip should face the same direction and always toward the slide of your firearm. Firmly snap the sweat guard into place. An audible click should be heard when attaching the sweat guard.
THE CONCEALMENT WING AND TENSION SCREW The optional, detachable Concealment Wing draws the firearm closer to your body which reduces printing for optimal concealment. It is for right hand users only. The Concealment Wing is not ambidextrous and is NOT available for left hand use. To attach the Concealment Wing, remove the Philips tension screw and attach the Concealment Wing to the holster using the Philips tension screw. When replacing the Philips tension screw, make sure to return the red washer to its original position. The Philips tension screw, which secures the Concealment Wing to the APN holster, is not pre-set and allows for retention pressure to be adjusted based upon personal preference. Make certain that the Philips tension screw is adjusted accordingly.
LaserTuck holsters. The Universal IWB LaserTuck Holster fits multiple single-stack, subcompact pistols with trigger guard mounted lights/lasers. The LaserTuck features adjustable belt clips and an adjustable barrel stop. ANY ADJUSTMENTS TO THE LASERTUCK SHOULD BE MADE WITH AN UNLOADED PISTOL. The belt clips offer three pre-set height positions which allows you to adjust the waistband height of the LaserTuck with a Phillips screwdriver. To make changes to the belt clips for ride height or cant, use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the belt clips and choose among one of the three pre-set height positions for your preferred waistband height of the LaserTuck. At this time, you may also adjust the cant of the belt clips. Tighten the Phillips screw after your preferred ride height and cant have been established. Additionally, the LaserTuck includes an adjustable barrel stop which allows you to adjust the ride height of your pistol. To make changes to the barrel stop, use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the barrel stop and then move the barrel stop to the desired position based upon the preferred ride height of your pistol. Make sure to tighten the barrel stop, as well as the belt clips, prior to use of the LaserTuck with a loaded pistol.
To wear the LaserTuck, place the LaserTuck completely inside your pants so that the top of the holster shell is the same height as your waistband. Proper use of the LaserTuck requires you to wear a belt at all times. The two LaserTuck belt clips should completely encircle your belt and rest securely on the bottom of your belt. You may need to loosen your waistband during this process. The LaserTuck includes an internal spring which stabilizes your pistol in the LaserTuck. Once the desired location of the LaserTuck on your waist is established, make sure to tighten your belt to the desired retention pressure while still allowing you to un-holster your pistol without restriction.
The location of the LaserTuck around your waist is based upon personal preference. The non-slip surface of the LaserTuck backing provides a flexible, comfortable buffer between you and your pistol and is designed to keep the holster firmly in place.
IMPORTANT: The LaserTuck DOES NOT have a passive retention mechanism. When not wearing the LaserTuck with a holstered pistol, DO NOT invert the LaserTuck as your pistol will fall out. RETENTION IS ONLY ATTAINED WHEN THE LASERTUCK IS PROPERLY WORN ON THE BODY AS DESCRIBED HEREIN.
CH Series (Rapid Release) holsters. The CH Series is an active retention holster that includes a trigger locking mechanism. Press the release button with your index finger to un-holster your firearm. When re-holstering your firearm, do not press the release button and insert the firearm firmly in the holster. Active retention is automatically engaged upon re-holstering. The 1911CH Series holster includes barrel bushing tool: The barrel bushing tool included and attached to the CH Series holster accommodates .45, 9MM and .38 Super calibers. Removal of the spacer on the round lug of the tool allows the .45 lug to be used on 9MM and .38 Super calibers.
Fit Specific IWB Series holsters. Place the holster inside your pants so that the outer, upper hook on the holster goes over your belt on the outside of your pants. The outer, lower hook on the holster should be secured by the bottom portion of your belt inside your pants.
Thumb Lever Series (Push Button) holsters. The Thumb Lever Series is an active retention holster. To unholster your firearm, use your thumb to push the release button firmly and fully in a downward and forward motion to release the retention. Active retention is automatically engaged upon re-holstering.
Digital Path Series holsters. The Digital Path Series is an active retention holster. To un-holster your firearm, use your index finger to push the release button firmly and fully downward to release the retention. Active retention is automatically engaged upon re-holstering.
POUCHES
Magazine Pouches. For magazine pouches that include a retention adjustment screw, the tension screw is not pre-set and allows for retention pressure to be adjusted based upon personal preference
PADDLE AND BELT MOUNTING OPTIONS
For paddle option, place the paddle inside your pants and firmly push the paddle down until the paddle fits inside your pants on your belt leaving the holster on the outside of your pants. For belt option, slide your belt through the belt attachment. Always tighten your belt with either mounting option to ensure retention of your Fobus product. The location of your Fobus product around your waist is based upon personal preference. Fobus products with tension adjustment screws are not pre-set. You must adjust the screw to ensure proper retention of your firearm or magazine. Always check the adjustment screw each time you use your Fobus product to confirm proper retention.
SPECIAL CARRY OPTIONS
Roto-Holster. The Roto-Holster system provides for 360 degree holster rotation and is compatible with any Fobus mounting option. It includes an adjustment screw for easy assembly and rotation. To adjust the angle of the holster, loosen the adjustment screw on the back of the holster and rotate to the desired position. Ensure that the holster locks into one of the pre-set locking positions and tighten the adjustment screw on the back of the holster to secure rotation position. DO NOT ADJUST THE ROTATION OF YOUR HOLSTER WHICH WOULD RESULT IN THE GRIP (REAR) OF YOUR FIREARM BEING CLOSER TO THE GROUND (UPSIDE DOWN) THAN THE MUZZLE (OR FRONT) OF YOUR FIREARM.
Ankle Rig. Place the ankle rig and holster on your ankle with the buckle facing forward. Pass the velcro strap around your ankle and through the front buckle, closing it backwards tightly. Make sure to wear socks high enough to allow the velcro strap to mount on the sock to avoid any rubbing issues. Cover the holstered firearm and ankle rig with your pant leg. When un-holstering, pull up the pant leg above the firearm and draw fast and decisively. Discontinue using the holster immediately if you experience any discomfort or are unsure as to the proper way in which the holster should be worn. Prior to using the holster with a loaded firearm, ensure that you have carefully read and understood the operating and safety instructions that apply to the holster series which is a part of the Ankle Rig (ex. Standard Series, Evolution Series).
EXND/EXND 2 Thigh Rig. Before using the EXND Thigh Rig (TR), ensure that your belt is secure and tightened. Tighten the Velcro strap at the top of the TR around your belt. Firmly secure the TR around your thigh with the adjustable strap. Place the paddle of the holster inside the front of the TR and push all the way down. Wrap the front Velcro strap around the holster to secure the holster to the TR. Discontinue using the holster immediately if you experience any discomfort or are unsure as to the proper way in which the holster should be worn. Prior to using the holster with a loaded firearm, ensure that you have carefully read and understood the operating and safety instructions that apply to the specific holster or magazine pouch used with the TR.
Shoulder Harness. Before using the Shoulder Harness, ensure that all of the Shoulder Harness straps are attached properly. The Shoulder Harness includes two plastic triangles. Three parts connect to each of the plastic triangles: (1) a U-shaped part, with a net and two velcro straps which should be inserted through the upper two slots of the plastic triangle. Notice the two straps are different in length and make sure the same length is inserted on the same side of the plastic triangles when facing each other; (2) an elastic thin band with velcro on both ends which should be inserted through the middle slots of both plastic triangles connecting them on the shorter side of the U-shaped straps; (3) a short strap with velcro on both ends which should be inserted through the bottom slot of the plastic triangle. The set also includes one wide elastic band with velcro on both ends which should connect between the nets of the two U-shaped straps. When wearing the Shoulder Harness, the two plastic triangles should be under your armpits.
The thin elastic band should be on your back and the wide elastic band should be on your shoulders behind your neck. The longer part of the U-shaped straps should be in front. The lower two short straps should be encircling your belt using the velcro ends.
When worn properly, all straps should be tight and the Shoulder Harness should feel snug but comfortable. Wearing the Shoulder Harness too loose may interfere with your ability to un-holster your firearm. The Shoulder Harness is designed to be used with Fobus rotating holsters or magazine pouches only. The Shoulder Harness comes with screws to be used for connecting the backside of the holster and/or pouch to the center of the plastic triangles (opening of the holster/pouch to be facing forward). Before securing the screws, make sure the angle of the holster and/or magazine pouch is established based upon your personal preference for cross-draw purposes. Wear the shoulder harness first with an UNLOADED firearm to ensure that it is being worn properly and comfortably and that you are able to un-holster the firearm safely and effectively. Practice un-holstering multiple times with an unloaded firearm. Discontinue using the Shoulder Harness immediately if you experience any discomfort or are unsure as to the proper way in which the Shoulder Harness should be worn. Prior to using the Shoulder Harness with a loaded firearm, ensure that you have carefully read and understood the operating and safety instructions that apply to the holster series which is to be used together with your Shoulder Harness (ex. Standard Series, Evolution Series).
DSS3RPS carrier. The Fobus DSS3 is a sanitizer, flashlight or pepper spray carrier. It accommodates multiple accessories and sizes and allows for horizontal or vertical carry configuration. Included are two clips (large and small) and one removable cradle. Choose the properly sized clip to use depending upon the diameter of the accessory. When switching between the clips or removing the cradle, the carrier has to be removed from the paddle by pushing down on the button located at the top of the DSS3 while sliding the carrier upward. To remove the clip or cradle, simple loosen the screw and remove the clip or cradle. When reassembling, make sure that the nut is seated in the channel on the backside of the carrier. The clips can be adjusted to allow for the accessory to be carried horizontally. Simply loosen the adjustment screw, adjust the clip and re-tighten. The cradle can be adjusted vertically by loosening or tightening the adjustment screw to the desired height of the accessory. The cradle can be removed when carrying the accessory in the horizontal configuration. It is not necessary to remove the adjustment screws when making any adjustments to the clips or cradle. Simply snap in the accessory when in use and remove when not in use. The DSS3 is made of high density, extremely durable and lightweight injection molded plastic. To carry, place the paddle inside your pants and firmly push the paddle down until the paddle fits inside your pants on your belt leaving the carrier on the outside of your pants. A belt must be worn when carrying the DSS3 and always make sure that your belt is tightened to ensure proper use of the DSS3
